GP CPCS: General Practice and Community Pharmacy Working Together

May 27, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm BST

Referring minor illness patients from general practice to a pharmacist: a new referral pathway

Learn about the GP referral pathway to the NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) for minor illness and how to incorporate community pharmacy into the primary care team. Join us to find out more about CPCS and the referral pathway, how it works, how to sign up and how your practice can make the most of the service.

You will hear from GPs, practice staff and pharmacists about the difference the programme has made to their PCN, practice and patients. You will also find out about the consultation skills training provided to pharmacists to support them in delivering the service.

The session will demonstrate how relationships can be built between general practice and community pharmacy in a practical and approachable way and provide an opportunity to ask questions and engage with speakers
