The LMC will be hosting a webinar about the new Data Security and Protection Toolkit – an online self-assessment that allows organisations to measure their performance against the National Data Guardian’s 10 data security standards.
All organisations that have access to NHS patient data and systems must use this toolkit to provide assurance that they are practising good data security and that personal information is handled correctly.correctly
Version 8 is due by the end of June 2026. Umar Sabat, Data Protection Officer at the Integrated Care Board for local GP practices, will be presenting a completion session. We recommend when joining that you are logged into your DSP Toolkit.
Umar will continue to support GP practices up until the deadline and share all the material required at the end of the session.
