Introduction to Primary Care
Aims – to understand how GP Practices are paid, the different types of GP contracts, QOF, Primary Care Networks, and to provide a basic knowledge of how GP practices align to the NHS.
As ever we are always keen to offer as much as we can in the Practice Staff Training programme. This year has been a tricky one to organise with last minute changes from f2f to online courses. We are very keen to keep our Practice Staff Training Programme available to you all - we have re-scheduled all the workshops with dates to be held later in the year. Thank you for being very patient on waiting for the new dates.
With the present situation in mind, the room that we use has now been set up to take account for the present social distancing rules. We can accommodate up to, and including, 12 delegates safely. However, there will be no refreshment or lunch facilities provided, so we are asking all delegates to bring their own.

Appraisal Skills
Aims: to understand the importance of appraisal, the appraisal process both individual and team, personal development planning, facilitating the appraisal meeting.

Medical Terminology
Aim – To improve the understanding of medical terminology and systems within the body. Aimed at practice team roles such as medical secretaries, summarisers and coders and all admin/reception staff.

The full-day event will take place on Tuesday, 5 November, at the Carlyon Bay Hotel, near St Austell. We have secured a mix of local and national speakers – and there will be opportunities for delegates to get involved in activities, ask questions and make constructive challenges throughout the day, to ensure the event is interactive and engaging. There will also be a marketplace.
