Following the popularity and success of a previous workshop, we are pleased to offer another opportunity to learn about how mindfulness and compassion can help you manage stress and get more enjoyment out of your life.
This online taster workshop will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about mindfulness, through a series of simple yet profound experiential practices and discussion. Following the session, you will know more about 'A Mindful Practice' and mindfulness in action, know how to bring the practices into your life, and understand the implications for improving your life in general practice in a way that feels manageable and hopeful. All you need to bring is an open heart and mind and have your video on throughout the session.
This workshop will be led by Dr Alison Sedgwick-Taylor (Founder of 'A Mindful Practice', and Independent Consultant Clinical Psychologist, CBT Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher) and joined, hopefully, by a few GPs who have benefitted. This workshop is part of an independently evaluated and award winning programme that has been offered to over 620 GPs and primary care staff in Gloucestershire with significant benefits to wellbeing, self-compassion, and attitude to work. Our findings are soon to be published and the programme is expanding across UK.
