‘Getting To Grips with Headache’ is a masterclass for healthcare professionals who would like to upskill in the diagnosis and management of headache disorders and familiarise themselves with advanced migraine treatments, amongst other topics. There is content for all - GPs, trainees, pharmacists, nurses, physiotherapists, hospital doctors of all grades, as well as healthcare professionals who might have personal experience of migraine and who are looking for more information on how to manage the condition. The flyer has a QR code to the web page, booking link, and the agenda for a detailed view of the day. The event is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, but pharma has had no input in the agenda or educational content of the meeting.

Developing the confidence and competence of local health and social care providers in identifying and managing IPC risks and promoting good antimicrobial stewardship are key priorities within national IPC guidance. A Cornwall IPC network will support implementation of effective IPC practices with full support from the NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly IPC team. The network is not intended to replace specialist IPC practitioners however, the aim is to have at least one connection in each primary care and care home setting across Cornwall and providers can nominate as many individuals as they like to sign up to the network.  The network is currently structured in three free of charge training levels. The beginner level is for care home staff only and the additional levels are outlined below.

IPC link practitioners

The link practitioner level is a six-month course, currently offering two virtual sessions per month. This level is reserved for clinical staff in primary care and care home settings only.
