RMS Clinical Lead Vacancy
The Referral Management Service (RMS) is currently looking for a new Clinical Lead to be part of the RMS Governance Committee (formerly the RMS Board).
This is an exciting opportunity to join the high performing and highly regarded RMS which is led and managed by General Practitioners. We are looking for an experienced GP to work as part of a team of Clinical Leads to deliver the RMS strategy over the next 2–3 years.
The role of Clinical Lead involves overseeing and approving best practice referral guidelines to reduce referral variability across GP practices in the RMS patch. It also involves communicating the RMS strategic vision and objectives in a manner to ensure maximum engagement with GP practices. An awareness of current priorities and issues affecting the NHS, both on a local and national level, is essential to ensure the RMS strategy is aligned with wider CCG priorities.
The successful candidate will need to be able to attend the RMS Governance Committee meetings which are held once every 2 months on the last Friday of the month.
In particular, we would welcome applications from GP’s based in the North Cornwall, Mid Cornwall or Newquay areas which are not currently represented on the committee.
